White Chocolate Strawberry Trifle

This recipe is so simple and so gorgeous it's hard to avoid making again and again!
White Chocolate Strawberry Trifle
What You Need:
White Chocolate Mousse Layer:
2 boxes Instant Pudding - White Chocolate
3 cups Milk
1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
2 tbsp Powdered Sugar

Cheesecake Layer:
1 8oz Block Cream Cheese
1 cup Powdered Sugar

Ready Layers:
1 lb. Strawberries
2 mini Pound Cake Loaves (or about 5 cups cubed)

This is super simple so don't stress over the layers and ingredients! Let's make the first layer: the Mousse.

First make the pudding. Even though the directions on the box say 2 cups of milk per box - and we are doubling it... To give this trifle some body we are only using 3 cups of milk. So, mix the milk with the pudding until combined and smooth. Chill until ready to build trifle.

For the cream cheese layer (wait at least 30 minutes after the pudding layer) beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar together. Set aside for a moment. Beat the whipped cream (1 cup) with 1 tbsp of powdered sugar. Scrape the whipped cream into the cream cheese layer and beat together. Chill.

The remaining whipping cream will need whipped. Beat with 1 tbsp of powdered sugar until stiff peaks are formed. Set aside.

To get prepared to build the trifle (and to allow the ingredients to set and chill) dice the pound cake into cubes. Clean and rinse the strawberries, then slice into 1/3 inch thick slices.

Once the pudding is set, fold in the whipped cream (not the cream cheese bowl but the plan whipped cream). This is your mousse.  Now it's time to build!

Layer 1 layer of mousse, then place strawberries against the rifle (for looks). on the inside of the trifle layer some strawberries. Top this layer with some poundcake (not against the glass - see picture) then the cream cheese mixture. Next, add a layer of diced poundcake - again be mindful of how you place it against the glass (for those looks again!). Top with mousse and repeat!

If you (like me) enjoy a private bite of dessert, it's fun to make mini trifles with sundae cups! We enjoyed these after the party - without any shame!

I made this for my family and well.... it was gone in 31.5 minutes. And then some people grabbed spoons and cleaned the bowl! Love you family!

Thanks for cooking with us! This dessert was a huge hit with the family!
