Tofu with a Kick!

Sometimes in life you just gotta Kick Start your meal time with some spice! Today, I was getting ready to fire up the grill, and realized I neededs some spice. And spice I did get!

This was a fabulous absolutely tasy tofu with a tangy kick. I hope you try this out - even non-tofu lovers would love this. It's got a bite, a kick, and a perfectly seaasoned flavor!
Complexity Level:  Easy
Tofu with a Kick!
What You Need:
Kebobs
2 blocks Extra Firm Tofu
1 Yellow Onion, chopped
2 Jalapenos, thickly sliced
12 oz. White Mushrooms

Marinade:
1/2 tsp Cayenne Pepper
1 tbsp Steak Sauce
2 tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
1 tsp Salt
Juice of 1 Lime

Another simple grilling recipe for the books. Low Fat, Gluten Free, and even Vegan. But.... no one needs to know because these will rock your socks off!

To start, whisk together all the ingredients of the marinade and set aside.  Cube the tofu into 1 1/2 inch cubes and place into a large bowl. Add the mushrooms and sliced jalapenos to the bowl with the tofu and add the marinade. Toss to coat.

Let the tofu mixture sit for 30 minutes, then being to build your skewers. You can rotate and alternate the ingredients as you see fit -- I liked to assure jalapeno was near the tofu to spice it up a bit.

Either way one skewered, drizzle with Olve Oil and grill 10-12 minutes, turning every 4. Remove and plate, giving one extra squeeze of lime and a light sprinkle of salt.

I hope you enjoy! I have just been a grilling machine these nice spring days!

Heres to your health!
