Blueberry Breakfast Power Smoothie (GF, High Protein)

5 minute fixes are always amazing after a great workout, awesome sleep, or whenever you need breakfast on the run. Lucky for us, they are super simple to whip up, and with a little creativity can become anything you dream them to be!

This smoothie is made with fruit, honey, almond milk, and fat free cottage cheese -- I know, sounds crazy, but cottage cheese is a super source for protein, and the fat free kind save you on calories and fat that isn't needed for flavor and texture.

The ingredient list can be up to you. Today's smoothie was a "blend" of fruits I had on hand!

Blueberry Breakfast Power Smoothie (GF, High Protein)
What You Need:
1 tbsp Honey
1/2 cup Fat Free Cottage Cheese
1 Orange, peeled and de-seeded
1/4 cup Fresh Blueberries
1/2 Banana
1/2 cup Frozen Peaches
1 tsp Vanilla
1/2 cup Vanilla Almond Milk*
*Can use any dairy or even soy milk product

No ice, because the myth is ice makes a smoothie good. Well truth be told, ice doesn't always work, and in a smoothie like this it will only break up the dairy and make the smoothie lumpy and separated. And separated smoothie = Not fun. Instead the frozen peaches will act as my chilling element, the cottage cheese a thickening agent and protein source, and the rest will enhance flavor and nutrition.

So here it is. Just add everything into the blender and puree for 1 1/2 minutes. Pour into a glass or togo cup and enjoy! Really... it's so simple, so fast, and so healthy!

Thanks for blending up some good fun with me!

Isn't this such a cool shot? That was a well enjoyed smoothie!!
