Honey Cumin Couscous

It's a flavor adventure you just can't stop eating!  And it's healthy!
Complexity Level:  Easy
Total Time: 6 minutes
 Honey Cumin Couscous
What You Need:
2 cups Couscous (I used tri color couscous)
1 tsp Ground Cumin
1/2 tsp Minced Fresh Mint
1/2 tsp Black Pepper
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
1/2 tsp Salt
1 tsp Olive Oil
1 tbsp Honey (or Agave Nectar)
Boiling Water (about 1 - 1 1/2 cups)
Minced Red Onion (optional)

To start, bring your water to a boil.  Meanwhile, place the couscous and all but the fresh minced mint and the minced optional onion into a large mixing bowl.  When the water comes to a boil, stir in about 3/4 cup.  Let this sit 3 minutes.  Add more water to desired doneness.

After the couscous is the texture you desire, add the mint and optional onion.  Serve along side your favorite dishes!   Recently I served this with my husbands Balsamic Glazed Thyme Pork Chops, and he loved it!

Here's to yummy couscous and a quick side dish you can make with little effort,
and hardly any time!

  2. I hope you guys enjoy! If you are not into a big kick of flavor, use a little less cumin-- but man I love that stuff! Happy FRIDAY!!! :)
