MSG Free Homemade Onion Soup Mix

MSG free, simple, and fun to make!
Total Time: 2 minutes
Complexity Level:  Easy
MSG Free Homemade Onion Soup Mix
What You Need:
2/3 cup Dried Minced Onion
2 tsp Parsley Flakes
1/2 tsp Celery Salt
1 tsp Sea Salt
1/2 tsp Garlic Salt
1 tsp Sugar
1/2 tsp Ground Black Pepper
2 tbsp Onion Powder
*I added 1 tsp Celery Flakes too, because I love them!

Mix all the ingredients together to combine.  You can use 3-4 tbsp in place of 1 packet of Onion Soup mix when a recipe calls for it.  I say 3-4, because I sometimes like to use most but not all of the packet, and I think everyone has their own flavor needs!

You can add 1 tbsp Beef Bouillon in place of the salts, to give this a beefy supercharge, and then use 1/2 tsp garlic powder!  But be sure to get the MSG free kind!

I hope you enjoy!  What a simple fix to a rather salty and MSG filled alternative!

  2. This is great as a dip mix! And you can use fat free sour cream to make it healthy! This is also awesome ground into burgers, or use 3 tbsp in a slow cooker stew recipe! Yummy ;) Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a great game day weekend!!!

  3. This sounds wonderful! I wanted to make meatloaf, but don't have a packet handy. This is even healthier - and I have everything in the house already! Thanks for sharing.
