Hot Buttered Rum

The holidays have so much more cheer with this in your mug!
Complexity Level:  Easy
Hot Buttered Rum
What You Need:
2 cups Dark Rum
1 1/2 cups Packed brown Sugar
1 tbsp Vanilla Extract
1 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Ground Clove
1/4 tsp Ground Nutmeg

6 tbsp Salted Butter
Vanilla Ice Cream (optional)
Boiling Water

To start, blend the cinnamon, vanilla, sugar, clove, and butter until combined.  This is going to be the blend that "Sweetens the deal" for this drink, giving it some holiday cheer!

Next, bring about 2 cups of water to a boil.  Meanwhile, spoon the butter sugar mixture into 8-10 mugs (this recipe is for 8-10 people).  Pour about 2 oz. of rum into each mug, more if you like a stiff drink!.  Pour the hot water into each mug (yes into the rum) and if using ice cream, spoon a dollop into each mug.  Sprinkle each with a bit of cinnamon for a perfect finishing touch.

These are dangerously amazing, and will bring peace and joy to any evening.  I hope you enjoy them as much as we did!
