Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip Flax Seed Cookies

Now thats a name you should say 3 times fast... if you can stop eating these!
Complexity Level:  Easy

Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip Flax Seed Cookies
What You Need:
2 Sticks salted Butter
1 12oz. bag Jumbo Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
2 Eggs
3/4 cup Sugar
3/4 cup Packed Brown Sugar
1/2 cup Flax Seeds
3 1/2 cups Unbleached Whole Wheat Flour (try gluten free for specialty diets)

To start, beat the sugars and butter together until combined.  Add the vanilla and eggs and beat to a smooth consistency.  Slowly mix in the flour.  The dough will be slightly stiky, and very dense.  Add the chocolate chips and flax seeds, andfold together until an even distribution.

Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit or 10-12 minutes, or until the cookie bottoms begin to turn golden brown.  Remove and sevre hot or cold with coffe, milk, or just as is!

Pictured with soy milk and a dusting of powdered sugar!  But equally awesome dipped in hot coffee!  Best part about it, this is a soft batch cookie with the crunch of the healthy flax seeds with the delicious creamy chocolate chips!

I hope you Enjoy!

  1. Thanks! I've been playing with whole wheat flower and flax seeds. My husband was complaining about all the health food I make, so I tricked him with these ;) I hope you enjoy! Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate it!
