Some days I wake up and I want what I want. Today I wanted Blue Cheese. And Walnuts... and ooey gooey deliciousness. And so this happened:
What You Need:
1 Baguette
Oli Oil
Sage
Sea Salt
Crumbled Blue Cheese (Gorgonzola for mild flavor, Maytag for bold)
Brown Sugar
Black Pepper
Walnuts
A simple list for an amazing bite!
To start, cut your baguette on a bias (slant). Brush each side of the sliced baguette pieces with Olive Oil, sprinkle with sea salt and a light dusting of sage. Set onto a baking sheet. Place about 1 tsp of walnut pieces and top with a about 1 tsp blue cheese crumbles. Top each with sugar and a pinch of black pepper.
Bake at 400 degree Fahrenheit for about 10 minutes, or until the bottom of the bread is browning and the cheese melting. Remove from the oven and serve as an appetizer or a compliment to all your favorite dishes! THis is also an amazing hors d'oeuvre for any occasion! Even awesome to butler pass at your own cocktail parties to impress your friends!
