Toasted Lentil Soup

Simple ingredients.  Amazing taste.
Complexity Level:  Easy

Toasted Lentil Soup
What You Need:
2 cups uncooked Lentils
3 quarts Water
1/4 cup Braggs Organic Soy Sauce (gluten free)
4 cloves Garlic, minced
1 Yellow Onion, finely chopped
4 Large Carrots, finely chopped
1/2 Stalk Celery, finely chopped
1/2 tsp dried Oregano
1/2 cup fresh Parsely
1 tsp dried Basil
1 tsp Sea Salt
1/2 tsp Black Pepper

Sometimes letting the natural flavors marry make the best soup there is.

To start, add the dried lentils, celery, onion,  and garlic in your soup pot.  Heat over medium heat to toast the lentils and start to sweat the vegetable flavors.  After the lentils start to brown, add your water, 1 tsp Salt, 1/2 tsp black pepper, braggs, and herbs and bring to boil.  Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.  The lentils will be tender and the soup amazing!  Taste for salt and peper if needed.

I hope this warms your next cold day!  This is so good for your heart, oil free, naturally vegan, and bold in taste!

 Enjoy!

XOXO,
