Hearty Beef Stew

This is one Beefed Up Stew!
Complexity Level:  Easy
Hearty Beef Stew
What You Need:
2 -2 ½ lbs Beef Chuck (or stew meat, chuck is best), cut into large chunks
5-6 potatoes, roughly chopped
2 pieces Celery, diced
3 Onions, roughly chopped
2 Cans Beef Stock/Broth
2 packets Onion Soup Mix
2 Bay Leaves
1 bag Baby Carrots, halved
1 tbsp Ground Cumin
1 tsp Salt
2 tsp Black Pepper
4 cloves Garlic, minced
Water
2/3 cup Flour whisked with 1 cup luke warm water

To start, in a large slow roaster or a large stock pot, add chopped meat and veggies, as well as spices. Fill to top with water and place on low heat.  Whisk the 2/3 flour with 1 cup water pour into pot.  Fold in the flour water with the pot's water.

If using a slow cooker, cook on high for 3-4 hours, or on low for 7.  If cooking on the stovetop, you can leave the pot on low for several hours as well, fist start on medium-high for 20 minutes, and lower to medium-low to let rest.

It's always good to taste to double check your seasoning seasoning.  You may need to add salt and pepper per preference.  Be sure to remove the bay leaves before serving.  Great for a hearty meal any day of the week!

Excellent on a busy day when you need to run out and leave the slow-cooker to do all the work!

Enjoy!

XOXO,
