Happy Halloween!

Here are some simple, bargain bites for the Halloween!
Bandaged Fingers
What You Need:
3 cans Crescent Rolls
3 Packages Hotdogs

Traditional Crescent wrapped hot dogs, only now you can call them Bandaged Fingers!  Cut each hot dog in half, and wrap with a strip of the crescent dough.  I cut each pre-cut crescent in half to minimize just how much is on each hot dog.  Bake at 350 degrees for about 12 minutes.  Remove and serve!

These were eaten so fast I didn't get to catch a photo!

Zombie Vomit
What You Need:
12 oz. White Chocolate for melting
3 cups Honey Nut Chex
1 cup Marshmallows
2 cups Pretzels
3/4 cup Salted Peanuts
6 cups Light Popcorn
1/2 cup Hot Cocoa Mix

To start, heat water in a double boiler to melt the chocolate.  Meanwhile, pop your popcorn, and toss all the ingredients except the hot cocoa mix and chocolate in a large roaster.

Once melted pour the white chocolate over the mix, and toss to coat.  While still warm and gooey, toss in the Hot Cocoa Mix.

Candied Eyes
What You Need:
2 lbs. Melting Chocolate
2 cups Peanut Butter
2 Sticks Butter, Melted
4 cups Powdered Sugar
This is much easier than you think, and such a huge hit sometimes you need to double the recipe!  To start, add the peanut butter, powdered sugar, and melted butter to a large bowl.  Mix to blend.  Roll into balls and chill at least 1 hour.  Chilling is important because the softer the dough, the more likely it will be to fall into the chocolate when dipping, which can become a fiasco.

To dip, melt the dipping chocolate in a double boiler.  Do not get any water into the chocolate, and never microwave to melt.  Both results are traumatic.  When melted, dip each peanut butter ball into the chocolate and let cool on wax paper.

Zombie Fingers
What You Need:
2 bags Pretzel Rods
1/2 cup Sliced Almonds + Food Coloring (Nails)
Food Coloring (optional--dry food coloring best to prevent caking)
White Melting Chocolate
Milk Melting Chocolate
Coconut Flakes (skin flakes)
Butter Scoth or Peanut Butter Baking Chips (Warts)
Round Sprinkles (Rash)
This is such a fun halloween treat for all!  Its simple, as we are just dipping the pretzels, but a few tricks make them spookier!  I used a water based food coloring, so when I added it to the melted white chocolate, it thickened.  This is normally a kitchen NO!, as melted chocolate has a temper, and water will break the silky texture, but naturally the zombies fingers are supposed to be rough!  To make the finger nails, you just needs food coloring and a water.  Color them, and dry with a paper towel.

BOO!!!  These are Spooktacular!

Enjoy!

XOXO,
