Sushi Rolls made Simple
What You Need:
Rice
Orange PeelChives
Crab
Fresh SeafoodSoy Sauce
Wasabi
The first step: Making some good sticky rice. To do so, bring 2 cups water and one cup rice to boil. Stir, cover, lower to medium and walk away. Seriously, walk away. When the water is mostly gone, turn the heat off, and again, walk away.
If you open the rice, you let out the moisture. If you open it when cooking, you lost the heat. After another 10 minutes over no heat. Dump the rice onto a baking sheet, and spread it out. Let this cool at least an hour. I know, since when did rice get so picky? It just happened!
The rest is so simple, everyone I know is going to be rolling sushi rolls for dinner! And yes, I even made one roll with teriyaki chicken, because for some reason people are scared to play with their food...and come on people! Food is Art! Get Crazy!
My Favorite Combos:
