What You Need:
1 pack WestSoy Chicken Seitan
1/2 lb Pasta (pictured w/ mini shells)
12 oz. Tomato Sauce
1 tsp Granulated Garlic
Pinch Crushed Red Pepper
1/2 tsp Black Pepper
1 tsp dried Basil
1/2 tsp Dried Bay Leaves
1/2 tsp dried Oregano
1 tsp minced Fresh Parsely
To start, begin to ook pasta in salted water. Meanwhile, chop the seitan into smaller pieces and pan fry with 1 tsp Olive Oil,1 tbsp of the liquid from the seitan package, the crushed red pepper, and the bay leaves.
For the sauce, pout the tomato sauce into a small sauce pan, and add the basil oregano, more garlic, salt and pepper.
The rest is simple, once each of the three elements are done, mix together. The seitan is best if you allow it to brown and crisp. Top your finished pasta with the fresh parsley and enjoy! If you aren't vegan, add grated parmesan to give this a cheesy bite.
