Yeah. This cheesecake went there. And it's simplified for all the good reasons!
Complexity Level: Intermediate
Complexity Level: Intermediate
What You Need:
Crust:
1 1/2 packs Graham crackers, crushed
5 tbsp Butter
2 tsp Sugar
Filling:
3 8 oz. blocks Cream Cheese, room temperature
3 Eggs, room temperature
1 cup Sugar
2 tbsp Heavy Cream
1/4 cup Peanut Butter
3 Snickers candy Bars, chopped
Topping:
1/4 cup Chocolate frosting, melted
1 Snickers, sliced
1/4 cup Peanut Butter, melted
To start, melt the butter and mix with the graham cracker crumbs. Press into a spring formed pan and bake at 350 degree Fahrenheit for 8 minutes. Let cool.
To make the filling, beat the sugar, cream, eggs, and cream cheese until combined. Add the peanut butter and beat for 2-3 minutes. Pour 1/2 the fillin over the graham cracker crust. Sprinkle the 3 chopped snicker bars over, then top with the remaining filling. Bake for 45 minutes (do not open the oven once!) at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Turn off the oven and let the cake sit 5 more minutes before opening the door. Remove and let cool, chill overnight.
To decorate, melt the chocolate frosting and peanut butter in separate bowls. Top the cheese cake with the chocolate frosting, then the snicker slices, then drizzle the peanut butter. Chill.
Before serving let the cake sit 1 hour. This is wonderful with whipped cream!
Enjoy, and Happy Holidays!
