Sweet Chili Teriyaki Tofu

So good even non-vegetarians will love it!
Complexity Level:  Easy
Sweet Chili Teriyaki Tofu
What You Need:
2 Blocks Firm Tofu, Diced
3 tbsp Teriyaki Sauce
1 Thai Chili, minced
1/2 tsp Sarancha Hot Sauce
2 cloves Garlic, minced
1 tsp Sesame Oil
1 tbsp Hoisin Sauce
1 tbsp Soy Sauce
1 tbsp Honey
5 Green Onions, chopped
Served Over Low-Fat Vegetable Lo-Mein

To start, dice the tofu into 1-1.5 inch cubes.  Whisk the Sesame Oil, Sarancha, minced garlic, Teriyaki Sauce, Soy Sauce in a large bowl.  Next, toss the tofu in the sauce and let sit at least 30 minutes.

When yo uare ready to cook, preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.  Lightly spray a baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray, drain the tofu from the marinade, and lay the tofu onto the sheet (save the marinade!).  Bake for 30-45 minutes, stirring and flipping as needed (about every 10 minutes).

While the tofu bakes, whisk the honey, hoisin sauce, and marinade in a small bowl.  Next add the minced thai chili and green onions.  If you prefer spicier flavor, toss the thai chili into the marnidae to start so it bakes with the tofu.

After the tofu is removed from the oven, toss in the marinade and let sit at leat 15 minutes.  I like this chilled and on salads, so I refrigerate overnight.  In the picture, the red is an additional drizzle of Sweet Chili Sauce and Sarancha (I like it spicy!)

This is excellent and super healthy!  Can't beat the flavor or the cost!!

Enjoy and Cheers to your Health!
