Simple Pasta Fresco

Making pasta is, aside from your first thoughts, Simple and Yummy!
Simple Pasta Fresco
What You Need:
(2 servings)
1 1/2 cups Flour (can be Gluten Free)
1 EggWater (about 1/2 cup-3/4 cup)
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder

In a large bowl, crack the egg and whisk in 1/2 cup water/  Slowly whisk in the flour.  You will only add more water if the flour and water becomes crumbs, the goal is an elastic dough.  I like to knead this for about 5 minutes after the whisking become difficult.  If the dough sticks to your hands, dust with flour as you knead.  Let this sit at least 30 minutes, with a damp cloth over top.  (you can let rest longer if desired).  After resting, knead again, and decide the shape and size you want for the pasta.  You can roll it out and cup shapes (great for kids!), you can make ravioli, you can eve shape like gnocchi (though this will not be gnocchi since potatoes were not used).  Boil and serve!

I tosses these a pinch of parsley, a dash of melted truffle butter, and 1 tsp Parmesan Cheese.  Then a quick olive oil drizzle and viola!  The pasta was perfecto!!!

Enjoy!

XOXO,

Aimee
