Steamed Herbed Tilapia

Moist, Healthy, Simple, and Cheap!
Steamed Herbed Tilapia
2-3 Tilapia Filets
1 tsp Lemon Juice
1 tbsp Butter + 1 tbsp
1/4 cup Water
Sea Salt
Black Pepper
1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
1/4 tsp Marjoram
1/4 tsp Thyme
1/4 tsp Parsley

In a medium skillet, heat to melt the butter.  Meanwhile sprinkle the filets with the salt and pepper.  Lay the filets in the skillet over the melted butter and cook for 3 minutes to brown, turn and add the water.  Sprinkle the herbs and garlic over the filets then cover.  The herbs will rest atop while the fish steams.  After 10 minutes, remove from heat and serve with a squeeze of lemon juice and butter melting over top each filet.  Excellent over rice, salads, or even as a sandwich!

  1. This looks perfect for summer and I even have some tilapia sitting in the fridge at this moment! :)

  2. Fantastic! Let me know how it goes for you! This was wonderful on a cool summer night, after a work day, and with some crisp wine ;)
