Brussel Sprout N' Berry Salald

$7 later, here's to your Heart!  This is super tasty and healthy!
Brussel Sprout N' Berry Salad
What You Need:
1 Bag (about 2 cups) Frozen Brussel Spouts or 2 cups Fresh (halved)
1/2 large Shallot (or 1-2 small)
1 clove Garlic, sliced and chopped
1/2 cup Dried Cranberries or Dried Blueberries
1 tbsp Olive Oil 
1 pinch Salt
1 pinch Black Pepper 
1 tbsp Honey 
2 tbsp chopped walnuts
2 tbsp Chevre (Goat Cheese)* -- Unless Vegan Recipe is Followed (see lower picture)

Thaw brussel sprouts (if using froze) to room temperature, then slice in half. In a medium skillet, heat olive oil and shallots for about 4 minutes, adding brussel spouts, pepper, and salt, and covering for another 5 minutes - add 1 tbsp water and cover for an additional 15 minutes if using fresh.

Toss in the cranberries, walnuts, drizzle the honey and cover.  Heat 5 more minutes.  Remove from heat, plate, and top with the chevre. Excellent meal or side dish for both your hearth and your mouth!  

Absolutely Fantastic!  Lower Picture is Vegan Option!

  4. Hey I love the idea of salad with something sweet in it, this looks great.

    I think the combination of olive oil and honey makes wonders really. I usually also add raisins with these two and a bit of balsamic vinegar. Leave them to soak up for a while and they're great.
