Buttermilk Mashed Potatoes

Comfort Food at a Comfortable Price.
Buttermilk Mashed Potatoes
What You Need:
6-8 Potatoes, roughly chopped
1 tsp Salt
2/3 cup Buttermilk
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
4 tbsp Butter
1/2 tsp Black Pepper

In a large pot, boil the potatoes until tender. I leave the skins on, but you are more than encouraged to peel them before boiling if you do not like the skins. Once soft, drain, and return the potatoes to the hot pot, adding the remaining ingredients. I do not mix with a mixer -- it makes them too fluffy. Instead, I use a wooden spatula and smash the potatoes, trying to "whip them while I smash -- a good job to let your kids help with too!

I love the homemade look and texture when you mash them by hand! Serve as a side for all your favorite dishes, or top with gravy ad make it a meal!
