Ultimate Garlic Bread

Ultimate Garlic Bread

Pretty Much the best garlic Bread, base for French Bread Pizza, or start to Cheesy Bread I have had in a while! I posted some photos for the steps, and the Cheap Simple Recipe for everyone to share!

Grocery List:

1 Mini French Boule of Bread ($0.99 at Whole Foods)
1 Stick of Butter ($0.55 when you buy a pack of 4 sticks)
1 tsp Italian Seasoning ($0.15)
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder ($0.15)
1 pinch of salt (nil)
2 tbsp Parmesan cheese ($0.30)

Step One:

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
In a microwave safe bowl, add the butter and spices, cover,
and melt for 1 minute. (This step is making the butter into what is called a complex butter--and can be duplicated with anything from berries and sugar to herbs and spices, so you have a spreadable delight for toast, or a flavor rich addition to sautes and stir fries!)

Step Two:
Slice the Bread into 1/2 - 1 inch slices. Using a spoon or basting brush, paint the complex butter over each side of each slice of bread. Place on a baking sheet and sprinkle parmesan cheese over each piece. (you can change this up by adding shredded cheese, rosemary, sauce and cheese, just about anything really!)

Step Three:
Bake for 6 minutes, the flip each slice over to brown evenly. When the edges begin to get toasty brown, remove the baking sheet with the bread from the oven, and let cool for 1 minute. This bread is so good as an appetizer with red sauce, as a base for french bread pizza, sprinkled with Feta Cheese and Chopped Kalamats (yum!), or as I had it last night, alongside some Yummy Lasagna!

Mmmm! It is soooooo tasty!
You can cut the bread into shapes with cookie cutters for kids, Hearts for Valentines day, or Long thin Pieces for dipping!

Excellent with Rosemary added and some Melted Mozzarella Cheese!

Goes great alongside Pasta Bolognaise

  1. I tired this but added mozzarella and a thin slice of tomato on each slice, baked it, then put fresh basil on top.... WHAHO! Delicious!
